Glandyth hissed and his axe swung round to strike the sword with such a blow that it was wrenched from Corum's aching hand and fell to the ground.

`Now, murmured Glandyth, as if speaking to himself. `Now, Vadhagh. It is not my fate to be slain by a Shefanhow.

Corum swung his axe (Корум взмахнул топором).

Again Glandyth dodged the blow (снова Гландит уклонился от удара; to dodge — избегать, увертываться /от удара/).
