На самом деле в ту ночь Армстронг специальным кодом подтверждал — для «тайной аудитории», — когда он, представляя «Человека», шагнул на поверхность Луны, вероятно, впервые за несколько десятков тысяч лет, что человеческая раса («Человек») — это только подгруппа гораздо более обширного, древнего, намного больше знающего «Человечества», с которым она генетически связана.
И что мы так или иначе восстанем из руин этой некогда великой цивилизации, чтобы сделать то, что сделали они — путешествовать в другие миры и прикоснуться к ликам богов...
Это — подлинная история человеческой расы, тайная причина создания «Аполлона» и присвоения программе такого имени... а может, и «темной миссии» самого существования НАСА? Был ли это «тот защитный слой правды», который призывал снять Армстронг, обращаясь к молодежи Америки на 25-ю годовщину «Аполлона-11»?
