Поэтический настрой праздника захватил всех, и Этьенн зачитал проект переработанного им текста обращения нашей экспедиции к народам мира с Южного полюса: «На самом протяженном пути через Антарктику наша экспедиция достигла Южного полюса. Отсюда, с точки, соединяющей весь мир в одно целое, мы обращаемся ко всем вне зависимости от национальности и культуры, как люди, которые знают, как жить во взаимопонимании и согласии даже на одной из самых трудных дорог на Земле.
