Фикционный финализм (Fictional finalism). Термин, предложенный Адлером и обозначающий, что поведение человека направляется воображаемыми, или фиктивными, целями, которые невозможно ни проверить, ни подтвердить практикой.

Чувство неполноценности (Inferiority feelings). Ощущение собственной неполноценности, неуместности и неспособности, которое возникает в детстве и в дальнейшем служит основой для борьбы за превосходство.

Эго (Ego). Термин, используемый Юнгом для обозначения всего, что мы осознаем.

Экстраверсия (Extraversion). Базисная эго — ориентация, предложенная Юнгом для объяснения стиля связей человека с внешним миром. Экстраверсия характеризуется вовлеченностью и интересом к миру людей и вещей — внешнему, по отношению к «Я».
